THE PLANNING COMMITTEE
To assist the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, there will be a PLANNING COMMITTEE composed of Chairpersons of the following subcommittees:

Public Information and Outreach
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS for ALL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEMBERS.
To be qualified to serve as a PLANNING COMMITTEE MEMBER, a person:
1. Must identify as a crystal meth addict, but has arrested his or her use of crystal methamphetamine and all other mind altering substances taken not as prescribed by a licensed physician;
2. Must be living, insofar as he or she finds possible, within the concepts of the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, and 12 Concepts of CRYSTAL METH ANONYMOUS which constitute a program of recovery;
3. Must have a minimum of one (1) year of continuous sobriety BY THE TIME OF THE CONVENTION;
4. Must have been of service to the FELLOWSHIP of CRYSTAL METH ANONYMOUS.
The duties and responsibilities of each Subcommittee listed in Section A above are as follows:
Works closely with the Graphics/Website Chairperson in creating the online registration pages, coordinates registration throughout the year prior to the CMADallas Conference, coordinates on-site registration at the CMADallas Conference, coordinates producing and distribution of registration packets, and coordinates scholarships.
Is responsible for all of CMADallas's fundraising activities in the year prior to the CMADallas Conference and Works with the Treasurer of the EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE to maintain records of donations and income and expenses associated with fundraising events both before and during the CMADallas Conference;
Responsible for obtaining prizes for bingo games and raffles and coordinates sale of tickets at raffles conducted both before and during the CMADallas Conference.
Graphics and Website Subcommittee
Works with other Subcommittee Chairpersons to provide graphic design for registration forms, programs, brochures, flyers, etc..., is responsible for having all approved materials printed for the lowest possible cost based on competitive bids and is responsible for designing and maintaining an internet website and web page for the CMADallas Conference.
Responsible for banquet seating plan, chooses menus for meals, is responsible for all food venues at the CMADallas Conference, including refreshments in the Hospitality Area, is responsible for designing, procuring and placement of all decorations at the CMADallas Conference, including the banquet.
Plans, produces and obtains all entertainment for the CMADallas Conference and all related events and is responsible for obtaining materials needed to produce the entertainment events for the CMADallas Conference, including sound and lighting equipment.
Public Information and Outreach Subcommittee
Works with the Chairperson of the Graphics/Website Subcommittee to create all materials with which to publicize the CMADallas Conference, including programs, brochures, posters, flyers and advertisements, is responsible for any direct/bulk mailings of all materials publicizing the CMADallas Conference, is responsible for locating and contacting CMA groups and other sobriety conventions outside of the Dallas area to publicize the CMADallas Conference.
Designates the theme and creates the entire program for the CMADallas Conference, schedules meetings, workshops, banquets and other events, chooses the topics and titles for each of the workshops, selects speakers and leaders for each of the meetings and workshops as well as the banquet.
Researches, prices and proposes quality sale items such as t-shirts, mugs, caps, etc. to memorialize the CMADallas Conference, orders, stores and maintains the inventory, works closely with the Treasurer to maintain financial records, and sets up and staff sales tables each day the CMADallas Conference.
Is responsible for setup and strike of all chairs, tables, decorations, media, collateral, audio/visual and final cleanup of any rented facility.
